Dr. Heath Thomas

Heath Thomas (PhD, University of Gloucestershire) is President and Professor of Old Testament at Oklahoma Baptist University. His recent work includes Faith Amid the Ruins: The Book of Habakkuk, The Gospel of Our King: Bible, Worldview, and the Mission of Every Christian (co-authored with Bruce Riley Ashford), and Poetry and Theology in the Book of Lamentations. His forthcoming volumes include Nahum-MalachiIntroducing the Old Testament as Christian Scripture, and Job: A Commentary.

His research interests lie in the theology of suffering, biblical prophecy, the challenge of divine violence, and a theology of prayer. Heath enjoys fly-fishing and reading the prose of Umberto Eco and Paulo Coelho.
