Melissa Chia-Mei Tan

Melissa C.M. Tan is currently pursuing a PhD in Divinity from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Originally from London, England, Melissa spent 6+ years as a missionary in Taipei, Taiwan, before moving to the U.S. for her master’s training at Talbot School of Theology. Her doctoral research concerns cultural-anthropological approaches in Biblical Studies, with a particular focus on honor-shame dynamics in the New Testament. Melissa has contributed essays in The Philosophy of Forgiveness, Volume IV: Christian Perspectives on Forgiveness and Righteous Indignation: Christian Philosophical and Theological Perspectives on Anger.
